Plan #544-2

by Steven Murphy

  • 2360 sqft

  • 2 bedroom

  • 2 bathroom

  • 1 story
This dynamic and light infused house is inspired by the classic designs of Frank Lloyd Wright, Cliff May and Quincy Jones. Conceived to attain the highest levels of LEED certification, it is truly a ranch house for the 21st. century.
The Solatrium Garden House is designed to be built at grade on a concrete slab. The result is a house without load-bearing walls and a seamless flow between indoors and outdoors. A standing seam metal roof accommodates a dramatic skylight at the ridge and integrated photovoltaic panels for production of domestic hot water and electricity. Mechanical systems include radiant hot water heat in the floor, zoned air conditioning with subterranean ducting and tankless water heaters as back-up to the active solar unit.
Please Note: Plans for alternate site orientations may be ordered through the custom modification department. Price upon request.
Casita plan (Guest House / Garage) is sold separately.
